Groups

Rapid City Counselor is offering some great counseling groups this Fall 2023. The cost of the group members is $35 per week for 8 weeks. OR pay in full before the group begins and pay only $250. Insurance options are available for  eligible groups and participants.

Teen Group

Are you facing tough times and need a safe space to share?

 

Through guided discussions and activities, you'll gain insights into your emotions, motivations, and behaviors, helping you to find your voice by speaking your truth.

 

And our trained counselors will provide skills to help you learn together how to cope with stress, anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges that many teens face.

Take the first step toward positive change and personal growth. Embrace the support of our SPEAK UR TRUTH teen counseling group and empower yourself to overcome life's challenges. 

 

This group is led by our trained counselor supervisee, Mary Schweitzer.

Grief Group

Are you struggling with the pain of loss? Do you feel alone in your grief? Finding Hope Together is a compassionate and understanding grief counseling group where you can share your feelings, find solace, and begin the healing process surrounded by others who understand what you are going through.

Enduring Love & Loss is a safe space for individuals who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Led by our counselor intern experienced in grief counseling, this group aims to provide a supportive environment to express your emotions, share memories, and learn coping strategies to navigate your grief journey.

Spirituality Group

This group is meant for adults who want to mature in their spiritual or religious life through exploring their own psychological depths, from pastors or religious leaders to those who are not a part of any institutional religion. It is also for those struggling in their spiritual lives, whether doubting their faith or wounded by their religious past, who want to explore the psychological dimension of their difficulties. It is also for those in therapy who want to integrate their therapeutic experiences with their spiritual life. Each week will center on a different psychotherapeutic or spiritual topic for reflection, helping us each move toward deeper self-awareness, understanding, and healing.Topics include:

  • Awareness

  • Depth

  • Defense

  • Self

  • Spirit

  • Prayer

  • Wholeness

  • God
